The Sands of Forgiveness

The Sands of Forgiveness
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”

The other friend replied “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE

Give It A Shot

Question: There are 3 frogs on a leaf. If one of them decided to jump off the leaf into the water, how many frogs are there left on the leaf?

Answer: THREE

Why?

The frog only DECIDED to jump! It didn't!

Dreaming of a personal accomplishment, most people make the mistake of waiting...

- Waiting until they've been trained
- Waiting till someone say's they are ready
- Waiting till they have the proper tools
- Waiting till they're better
- Waiting till they're hired
- Waiting till they've been given the assignment

Ponder over this, my friends. Are you not unlike the frog; who decides to do this, decides to do that, but ended up not doing any?

In life, we have to make many decisions. Some easy; some hard. Most mistakes are not made by wrong decisions; Most mistakes are made due to our inability to take a right decision at the right time.

We have to live with the consequences of our decisions. And that is RISK

idea to loose weight

idea to loose weight

(Push Diet by Dr. Smith) check here

think about it
http://school.discoveryeducation.com/clipart/images/thinkingcap.gif

There is no magic cure for all people. Each person is different. But, here is the general idea to loose weight.

Consume less calories, exercise more.

I assume that I am going to get nasty comments, but the combination of those two things are what will really help in the long run. You may drop 20 lbs on the latest fad diet, but you'll gain it back when the diet wears thin!

One piece of advice I want to share is this though. If you are craving chocolate, eat chocolate. Or ice cream, chips, what ever it is your craving. But do it in moderation. This is how I would end up....

Hmmm I want candy. I will have an apple.

10 min later.....

Apple didnt do it, I'll have some fruit snacks.

10 min later......

That didn't work. Maybe a small cookie or two.

10 min later....

Argh! Fine. I'll just eat the whole king size candy bar.

I would end up consuming WAY more calories than if I would have just eaten the stupid candy.

A Low Sodium

http://www.made-in-china.com/image/2f0j00zGIaRFrqFTeQM/Sodium-Percarbonate.jpg

A Low Sodium (or Low Salt) Diet aims to reduce the daily intake of sodium or salt. The daily recommended intake of sodium is 2.4 grams (2,400 milligrams) per day. Most people in Western countries eat far more than this. This amount of sodium is equal to a teaspoon of table salt per day.

The DASH diet is a popular implementation of a low-sodium diet.
High-Blood Pressure

Many studies have found that a reduction of sodium can lead to a lower blood pressure. In fact, a level of 1,500 mg has been found to have the best affect on this with high blood pressure (or hypertension).

Many foods contain ‘hidden’ quantities of sodium, so it pays to read the food label. It is a government requirement to list sodium quantities.
Tips for Reducing Sodium

* Buy fresh, plain frozen, or canned “with no salt added” vegetables.
* Use fresh poultry, fish, and lean meat, rather than canned or processed types.
* Use herbs, spices, and salt-free seasoning blends in cooking and at the table.
* Cook rice, pasta, and hot cereals without salt. Cut back on instant or flavored rice, pasta, and cereal mixes, which usually have added salt.
* Choose “convenience” foods that are lower in sodium. Cut back on frozen dinners, pizza, packaged mixes, canned soups or broths, and salad dressings — these often have a lot of sodium.
* Rinse canned foods, such as tuna, to remove some sodium.
* When available, buy low- or reduced-sodium, or no-salt-added versions of foods.
* Choose ready-to-eat breakfast cereals that are lower in sodium.

Preparing Low Sodium Food

* Add less salt at the table and in cooking. Reduce the amount a little each day until none is used. Try spices and herbs instead.
* Cook with low-salt ingredients. Remove salt from recipes whenever possible. Rice, pasta, and hot cereals can be cooked with little or no salt.
* Use fewer sauces, mixes, and “instant” products this includes flavored rices, pasta, and cereal, which usually have salt added.
* Rinse salt from canned foods.
* Limit smoked, cured, or processed beef, pork, or poultry.
